PHOTOGRAPHY
Your photoshoot experience is about taking time to be with your family. My job is to create a space for you to connect and enjoy each others company whilst I capture your love and happiness together.
These beautiful moments deserve to be treasured, adored, captured and remembered!
What better way to do that, than with a beautiful and timeless photo session of you and your family.

WHAT TO EXPECT
You love the idea of a photoshoot with your horse but you’re not sure how it all works. I offer a step by step guide to help you from the start.
I can’t wait to meet you!
THE PRE-CONSULTATION

Every photoshoot is different and unique to you, so the first thing I will do is find out more about what you would like from your session. We can do this by email or by phone.
We will also chat about location, outfits and which products you will want for your home from frames, albums to digital images.
Your photo session is very important to me and I want you to get the best out of it. Once you have booked a session, you’ll also receive a welcome guide packed with information and advice.
THE PHOTOSHOOT

On the day I’ll meet you at the planned location. We’ll have a chat and a walk. That way you’ll be more relaxed.
It is perfectly normal to be nervous about having your photo taken. I feel the same way but after a while, you’ll forget about the camera as you’ll be having so much fun. I’m very relaxed and have a gentle nature so we’ll get along just fine.
Photoshoots take place outside. Children can run wild, play at being pirates, find their inner princess, dances with the fairies, turn sticks into magic wands and kick leaves. We might even take a walk and stop on the way for some gentle posing but mainly I want to capture your family interacting, the quiet in-between moments and the fun you have with each other. This is your time to be together.
THE VIEWING

After your photoshoot, I will hand edit your images – please allow 2 weeks for this.
All images will be uploaded to a gallery for you to choose your favourites depending on what collection you went for.
If you want to add extra products at this time you are welcome.

WHAT TIME & WHERE?
The best time of day for photoshoots is either first thing in the morning or 2 hours before dusk. The light is softer, more flattering and often locations are quieter too.
The best location is the one that works for your family. We can go to the beach, have a campfire, use your camper van, enjoy a picnic, walk in the woods – the possibilities are endless.
WHAT IF MY CHILD PLAYS UP?
Children are as unpredictable as the weather! I have two of my own so I really do understand.
My photoshoots are fun and playful. This means your children will be so distracted, they’ll forget about the camera!
I have plenty of patience and I am used to dealing with children. Some photoshoots take 1 hour and others can take two hours. I work at your families pace. I want you to come away with images you love and be happy with your session.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
British weather is unpredictable, so if it’s a light drizzle we may brave it and look for breaks in the weather but if it is torrential rain and it will spoil your photos or make everyone miserable then we will reschedule a new date. When booking keep an extra day in the month just in case!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Alongside the location, styling your families clothes for your session is very important. The right clothes can create a beautiful mood, whether it’s whimsical, fun, or dreamy or from another era. If you not sure, then please don’t worry as I can help you every step of the way.
I also have a Pinterest board of ideas to help you with colours: Spring/Summer photoshoots and Autumn/Winter photoshoots
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Once you have booked a shoot with me. Yay! I’ll send you a welcome guide packed with tips.

love Jo xoxo
