WHAT TO EXPECT
You love the idea of a photoshoot with your horse but you’re not sure how it all works. I offer a step by step guide to help you from the start.

PRE-SHOOT
Every photoshoot is different and unique to you, so the first thing I will do is find out more about what you would like from your session. We can do this by email or by phone.
We will also chat about location, outfits and which products you will want for your home from frames, albums to digital images.
Your photo session is very important to me and I want you to get the best out of it. Once you have booked a session, you’ll also receive a welcome guide packed with information and advice.
THE PHOTOSHOOT
On the day I will arrive either at your yard or a location that we discussed. As we walk around looking at locations we can get to know each other. This is also a great time to look at your outfits.
It is perfectly normal to be nervous but after a while, you’ll forget about the camera as you’ll be having so much fun. I’m very relaxed and have a gentle nature so we’ll get along just fine.
I will gently guide you into poses and hopefully, your horse will follow suit but please don’t worry if they don’t like something or he/she misbehaves – it’s very normal – we can adapt to the situation and move on to the next spot. Most of all enjoy spending this time with your best friend and I’ll capture this time of you together.
THE VIEWING
The best bit! After your photoshoot, I will hand edit your images – please allow 2 weeks for this.
I just know you’re going to love your images!
All images will be uploaded to a gallery for you to choose your favourites depending on what collection you choose.
If you prefer I can do a viewing session with you. I can also offer advice on products or help you with your choices.
This is also a great time to add extra products to your order.

WHERE WILL MY PHOTOSHOOT TAKE PLACE?
Your photoshoot will take place in your yard/stables or favourite location. This can be the beach, a forest or another wonderful location. I love the planning stages of a photoshoot so hit me with your ideas.
I’m based in Hampshire and cover Dorset, Surrey, Mid and East Sussex. However, outside of 40miles from SO51 will incur a mileage cost of 45p/mile.
CAN I BRING THE FAMILY AND MY OTHER HORSES/PETS?
Of course, you can have all your horses and children and the rest of the family including your dog. Just let me know when you book your session, so we can allocate more time for the photoshoot.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
British weather is unpredictable, so if it’s a light drizzle we may brave it and look for breaks in the weather but if it is torrential rain and it will spoil your photos or make everyone miserable then we will reschedule a new date. When booking keep an extra day in the month just in case!
DO I RIDE MY HORSE ON THE DAY?
I would try and stick to a normal routine unless of course, the shoot is very early morning! If your horse is spirited I would ride or lunge before the shoot just to help take the edge of their energy.

Once you have booked a shoot with me. Yay! I’ll send you a welcome guide packed with styling tips. And an info sheet on how to prepare your horse before your session.
